COVID-19 is on the loose throughout the world. It is making many people ill and leading some to their death; without discrimination for social status, ethnicity, sex, nor religion. In the U.S., the "professionals" predict that the days around Resurrection Sunday (Feast of First Fruits) would mark the peak of the curve for the number of infected and deceased people with regards to COVID-19; as well as a decrease thereafter. Yet, amidst the turmoil that COVID-19 has brought to the face of this nation, it cannot take down both the love and faith of many believers that abide in Jesus the Messiah.
Resurrection Sunday has begun in accordance with Jewish standards. Yet few people realize the fullness of this day. This is the day that YHWH put on the calendar of mankind as their Day of Redemption. Before the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) made Himself known in the days of the New Testament, there was only purification and sanctification through water and obedience to YHWH's declared laws. Furthermore, people still had to make a special sacrifice offering of redemption once a year to atone for their sins.
Easter Season is a special time of the year when Christians of all denominations should make time to remember God's love for mankind through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. Jesus died to pay the price of sin, which is death. However, Jesus did not stay in the grave, He came back to life and left the grave. Jesus now alive and well in Heaven, at the right-hand of God the Father. Through Jesus' work on a cross, dying, and coming back to life, all of mankind now has the opportunity to be saved from the bonds of sin ... if they put their trust in Him.
God impressed upon me a series of short messages to post on the FaceBook page I manage for my place of work. I have done so on a weekly basis since "Ash Wednesday" week. I would like to now share them all with you ... May they be a blessing to you. Every year that passes by, the Easter season comes and goes. Some people celebrate it with baskets filled with colorful eggs and bunnies. While other people celebrate it with a family gathering galore. However, there are a few people who celebrate it as a time to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made in taking-on the sins of the world to demonstrate the love that His Father had for all of humanity.
There are several monumental events in history that are celebrated by people of diverse backgrounds. Yet, there are a chosen people, those called out by God Himself, that make an annual celebration ... Resurrection Sunday (Easter to the rest of world)! On this day we remember the demonstration that Christ presented in conquering death and being a living testimony of that which He spoke of. He is the Son of God! Hallelujah! ! !
