COVID-19 is on the loose throughout the world. It is making many people ill and leading some to their death; without discrimination for social status, ethnicity, sex, nor religion. In the U.S., the "professionals" predict that the days around Resurrection Sunday (Feast of First Fruits) would mark the peak of the curve for the number of infected and deceased people with regards to COVID-19; as well as a decrease thereafter. Yet, amidst the turmoil that COVID-19 has brought to the face of this nation, it cannot take down both the love and faith of many believers that abide in Jesus the Messiah. The person of Jesus is not a myth. He is a notable person of impressionable character throughout the history of humanity. More importantly, Jesus is the Son of God, the Great Physician, the Messiah, and the risen Lamb of God!
Although COVID-19 seems to take the lead on headlines and news reports, Jesus is the person that God the Father exalts and lifts Him up above all things and people. This Resurrection Sunday (Feast of First Fruits), I encourage you to both praise and worship Jesus the Messiah through music, song, and dance. I encourage you to draw close to Him through both reading and studying the Word of God as well as spending time in personal and communal prayer. Lastly, share Jesus the Messiah with others; ask the Holy Spirit to search your hearts and impress upon you the best way to do so. This day is about life and life everlasting through Jesus the Messiah. In closing, I thank God for this Resurrection Sunday (Feast of First Fruits) in which all believers will celebrate the triumphant power of Jesus the Messiah over illness and death. Yet, more importantly, the gift of eternal life that is found by those who commit to abide in Him. Let Us Pray. Jesus, thank you for accepting to be the Passover Lamb of God for the redemption of my sins. I both praise and worship You in an action of gratitude for all that You have done, continue to do, and will do in the future. Although COVID-19 is on the loose and causing people to experience diverse forms of stress, I will embrace Your peace as I put my trust in You. In the name of Jesus the Messiah, I pray, Amen.
