"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 14:26 (NKJV) On Tuesday afternoon, I went to a book-ministry to do my "work" in serving others through literature and other manners. After I left, I had a good dinner and then headed over to my Bible study. Almost everyone from the group was there and it was educational. The main theme (based on a chapter from the book of Psalms) of that evening was in regards to prayer; with a deeper focus on the attitude, discipline, and depth to which it is practiced. At the end of the lesson, we took up prayer requests in addition to a list we had.
Before I go on, though, I do desire to make a note over some observations I have made over our past couple of meetings. In our group, there is a lady (JW) whom God has been using in many different ways. She is not boastful about it, but is settle in the manner that God leads her to serve others. Nonetheless, throughout our prayer times, God has filled her heart with His Spirit, and led her through deep prayers as we have prayed for the needs of others. It has been a blessing to have her in our meetings. This week, during our time of prayer, the facilitator began our corporate prayer. It was then followed by JW and once again, God's Spirit moved through her as she prayed. During this time, several scriptures ran through my mind, but they were not what He wanted me to speak out as a prayer. Then the Holy Spirit impressed upon me Proverbs 3:5-6 (only I did not know where the passage was found, yet He helped me retain the memory):
In closing, God is still choosing to work through me while I re-learn to listen and speak as the Holy Spirit leads me to do so. It is a great and encouraging experience. I am exited at having the privilege to be able to do so in the company of other Brothers and Sisters in Christ; even more exited to witness God work through them too. Comments are closed.
