Another year has come and gone. A new year is here. Some people have rejoiced, while others have been content for simply making it this far into the year. Yet a few people have seen it as another opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus with those who have yet to receive Him into their heart as their personal Savior and Lord. I have a friend who searches for opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus. There are times they share the Gospel through both gospel tract and Bible distribution. There are other times they share the Gospel through visiting people at a nursing or retirement home, a prison, and public areas: like parking lots, parks, or basketball courts. They also have come to the awareness that their body is beginning to slow them down and so they have began to share the Gospel through signs ... posting signs throughout the city that they love and even having some painted on walls as well. Furthermore, they also minister messages through means of radio broadcasting. They love Jesus with their heart and their heart is on fire to share Him with them.
Like my friend, I also share Jesus with others, in my own unique way. I like to design and pass out business-size cards. On the front side, they have a scripture phrase or whole scripture and eye-catching background. On the back side, I have stamped the "ABCs of Salvation", which I modified to fit the card-size; the cards are all bilingual, so that they can be used with American English or Spanish readers. I have made three different designs and have witnessed the change in the souls of people as they have read them, thanked me, and served others with an uplifted spirit after they have read them. This year, nearing Christmas Day, I bought a small box of Christmas cards, religious designs and a short scripture. I went on to briefly explain the picture from the perspective of the Bible, present a message of salvation, and close with a blessing for the recipient, family and close friends. It was the first time I had done this action and it was hard work, especially since the cards were all for strangers. However, I sensed the Holy Spirit guiding me through the process, and my spirit got excited. You see, I hand-wrote each card (8 of them); with a personal touch. I also included a small candy cane with each card. Each card was received differently: some people were happy, others puzzled, while others thankful ... and they had yet to open the card! I don't know how they responded to the card once they opened and read it. Yet, what I do know is that I followed the impression God put in my heart and delivered the message; the rest is between them and God. I want to encourage you to ask God to guide you as to how He desires for you to share the Gospel of Jesus. Set yourself apart from the busyness of your daily life and seek God through prayer about this matter. After all, God has a plan for all of us, especially those who have never heard nor embraced Jesus as their Savior and Lord. It is up to us to take-up the call and share God's love with them ... Jesus, the deliverer of the bonds of sin! Let Us Pray. God, thank You for sending out someone, in obedience to You, to share the Gospel of Jesus with me. Thank You for the manner You used to draw me nearer to You. I now know Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord. So God, please send Your Spirit to inspire and guide me as to the manner that You desire for me to share the Gospel of Jesus with people who do not yet know Him. Please help me through this process and as I carry out your message to all who need to hear it. Amen. Comments are closed.
