The means by which people travel from one place to another has not changed by much within the past century. However, a person's need to be ready for survival scenarios has changed. There are now more severe weather occurrences, accidents, as well as civil unrest within diverse communities. In this selection, I will present a basic Urban Survival Kit (USK) so that you may be prepared with a compact resource that may be carried into most places. Urban Survival Kit (USK):
• Bag, Pouch, or Soft Case • Individual Safety Set : Gloves - Safety Glasses - Particle Mask - Ear Plugs - Whistle - Hat or Cap (respective of season) • Emergency Accessories Set : First Aid Kit (custom) - Extra-Large Bandanna - Mylar Blanket - Rain Poncho - Compass - Map - Paper Pad with Pencil or Pen - BPA-Free Water Bottle - Hand Flashlight with Clip or Headlamp - Extra Battery Sets - Pocket Knife or Multi-Tool (only carry with regards to area carry-on restrictions) Please note that finding these items in the their most compact-size form will be in your benefit. This basic USK is intended to be a resource that can help you in tough times until you reach professional help or a safe place of refuge.
