Wait for Your Master

3/30/2010

We live in a fast-paced world. It is a world of fast food, delivery services, drive-thru services, as well as instant messages through diverse forms of technology. As fast-paced as this world may be, there are certain things that cannot be rushed; no matter how fast we desire for them to be fulfilled.

There exist a group of people whose faith entails for them to wait for many things. They acknowledge this as an action that demonstrates the degree of their devotion to their Master. They establish and maintain their trust in their Master. They exercise their trust in Him with their whole heart, as well as step away from their own understanding; yes, they must trust Him. Because they trust Him, they heed His instructions and wait for His response.

I have chosen to wait for my Master.
This choice leads me to seek Him out with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength. I also put my hope (expectation with certainty) on both Him and His word. I remain
of good courage.  Additionally, I get quiet, silent, and still within myself; I also begin to exercise patience. With these actions, I declare how God is my Rock and Salvation; Defense. I declare how He is my Glory and Rock of Strength; Refuge. As I wait, my Master inclines His ear and listens to me; whether soft-spoken words or the cry that springs forth from my heart. While I am waiting, my Master helps me and protects me from all harm.

I have waited for my Master.
He has protected me from all harm. His response is that He will be good for me. He renews my strength and makes my heart stronger. My Master saves me and I am delivered from unfavorable conditions. I am taken up and placed upon a solid foundation and my ways are re-established. Yes, my Master is good for me.

I have been blessed by God.
I have been blessed to have good and true friends
in my life. However, I dedicate this selection to my friend Terry. For a while now, Terry has been presented with several challenges within her life. However, through it all, she has presented her faith in God through trust, patience, and waiting upon His response. It has not always been according to her desired timing, but God has been faithful and true to supply for all of her needs. Yes, He has done so in accordance with His timing and His will over her life.

In closing, this is a fast-paced world. However, in all that there is in this world, there is nothing like waiting upon God. For even though it seems like the response is taking a long time to arrive, it will arrive according to His timing and His will over your life.
